I really need to answer emails, and instead I’m looking up pictures of Border collies. I think it’s always gonna be bug me that I don’t know exactly what Yoshi is. I’m pretty sure she has Border collie in her, but I will never know for sure. It doesn’t bug me I guess, it’s just fun to think about? Idk. She’s perfect no matter what.

Dog food! I’m switching Yoshi’s dog food up - we’re using Science Diet because that’s what the vet recommended (though I’ve come to learn it probably isn’t the best for her), and she’s just not eating it anymore and being picky. So I’d like to switch to a high quality kibble, so nothing like Pedigree or Alpo. She likes Blue Wilderness treats and the sample bag of food I got a few days ago, so I’m leaning toward that, but any other suggestions?

Had a better doctor’s appointment today, so hooray! Though now I have to use a nasal spray and Zyrtec for the REST OF MY LIFE. Maybe not that much, but enough to keep my ears from hurting like they always do. Plus finally went to the store so I have baby tomatoes, edamame, some healthy soup, some instant coffee, and some popcorn and hot sauce. I am ready for tonight!
Except I found out Yoshi cries for me when I leave for work now. :( She didn’t used to, but I think being in the new place is throwing her off. When I’m home she follows me everywhere. She’s also not eating very well either, just about half of what she would normally eat. She still eats her treats and I’ve been testing her with some turkey, so I think she’s okay, just yeah, the being in a new place thing. If she doesn’t clear up in a few days it’s back to the vet. My poor baby.
But other than that, today is cool.

Yoshi had a long training class today. We finally met our classmates, an adorable bark prone Corgi named Sparrow, and a very sweet labradoodle named Dexter. We had class yesterday too, since Yoshi was sick last week with her ear infection and we missed it. We just went over loose leash walking and come and sit though. Todayyyy was a lot. We did down, which was hard for Yoshi since she got bored easily and didn’t like the Charlee Bears THAT much. We switched to a different treat though that she loved, so those helped, so I picked up a bag of those for the things she’ll struggle with. We did take it and leave it, which she picked up on the second try and did very good on. She still isn’t very socialized, so we tried to have her sit while strangers came to pet her and she was distracted the entire time, and scared some of the time, so we have to work on that.
We’re packing right now and she keeps rolling into me in her sleep and it’s cute. I really like our trainer and they’re going to schedule an intermediate class right after our puppy class graduates the first weekend in March, but I’m out of town for two weekends in March, plus we’re getting her fixed the 3rd weekend so we probably will have to wait til April.
She’s doing really well though. The biggest thing is keeping her attention, so that’s our first priortity. And the socialization. Woo.
