For fun I decided to look at the Craigslist “pets” category and the amount of people claiming to be dog trainers using “pack hierarchy” tactics was shocking. Ugh. Also prong collars and e-collars and just ugh.

Just got spoiled for the last episode of the Walking Dead. I didn’t even know it had already aired. I know better than to get on Tumblr on Sundays. I HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT MYSELF.

Game of Thrones was ace.

I feel like in order to create good media you need to consume good media. And my consumption has been the stalled and the same for awhile. Re-reading the Pern books, watching Star Trek, watching House of Cards, reading A Song of Ice and Fire, watching Game of Thrones, and playing Skyrim has really made me feel the need to create again. It’s a very welcomed feeling.

Feeling like a bamf for no other reason than I worked out today, made dinner (thus making tomorrow’s lunch and dinner), and am doing Ops this year for my con.  Tomorrow I go to the MDA in the morning and then start my new job (and thus my fourteen hour Mon-Thurs workdays til November 11th, assuming I can keep the MDA job).  Sometimes living here still feels like a dream, but I have no regrets whatsoever about moving back.

This has been a boring text post, carry on.

One of my best friends had emergency surgery on Thursday night for an old issue. I went down to Tucson like a madman on Friday and spent the night with her and helped her and pushed her around in a wheelchair since she’s in a lot of pain. I came back up to Phoenix this afternoon since I had plans and had stupidly forgotten clothes and things and now I feel useless and helpless up here and am very worried.

My mind’s a mess right now.

I do have a pumpkin that says Killjoy on it though.  Badly, but it’s there.

Unschooling

I just stumbled upon this “unschooling” thing today and I’m curious about it. It’s an interesting concept to think about.
