Help me Tumblr

Dog food! I’m switching Yoshi’s dog food up - we’re using Science Diet because that’s what the vet recommended (though I’ve come to learn it probably isn’t the best for her), and she’s just not eating it anymore and being picky. So I’d like to switch to a high quality kibble, so nothing like Pedigree or Alpo.  She likes Blue Wilderness treats and the sample bag of food I got a few days ago, so I’m leaning toward that, but any other suggestions?

We had our first training class today. There was some confusion with the time from the trainer, so we ended up being the only ones in the class today (next week we’ll be with other dogs, which is what I’m looking forward to most, the socialization). Yoshi caught on to everything extremely fast. The older she gets, the more border collie I see in her, with her markings and body type and from the way she caught on to everything today, her intelligence. From looking at pictures online, I’ve found other puppies called “chow-collie mix” that look almost identical to her when she was a little puppy and the gangly 5 months she is now. She’s perfect whatever she is, but I like guessing. We got her a harness to help her walk better, though more importantly I’d like her to do therapy work at some point in the near future, and the harness helps with that a lot too. She needs three more classes and then the Canine Good Citizen test before any of that happens, and since those classes are six weeks each, we’re looking at about six-seven months, which is perfect since she needs to be a year old to register with most organizations. It’s going to require a lot of staying on task and being consistent with her, but she’s sweet, loving, and calm so far, and I think she could really bring joy into other peoples’ lives. It’s one of my goals for this year, and I’m really looking forward to it.
