So… someone on my Facebook a few days ago said that in cases of pregnancies where there’s a medical issue and it comes down to saving the mother’s life or the unborn child, however far along the pregnancy is, he understands why everyone wants to save the mother’s life, but it pains him.
So… a fetus is more important than a grown woman, a whole, living person. A whole, living woman.
It’s been on my mind for a few days and I can’t get it out of my head that we’re still this backward thinking, that a man has the audacity to say something so narrow about this, with the full knowledge that he’ll never be someone in that situation.
It rankles.
Anyway, doing my taxes tonight. I had about 3k taken out in total last year and I still have some to pay from a previous year, so we’ll see. I don’t mind not getting anything back (do good things with my tax money Amerrca), but I hope I don’t owe. These are my hopes and dreams.
